About the Conference

This is the first conference aimed at stopping the stigma around Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (CSBD), also known as sex addiction. It will be held during Sex Addiction Awareness Week. The Hope for Healing conference aims to bring awareness to the complexities of CSBD, reduce stigma, and raise essential funds for therapy scholarships.

Our event will bring together sex addiction and partner trauma therapists, as well as individuals suffering from sex addiction and their partners. The conference will feature both a clinical therapist continuing education track and an individual awareness and learning track for non-clinical attendees. This dual

approach aims to educate and equip therapists with the latest tools and techniques while also providing valuable information and support to individuals and their partners.

ABOUT LIT PATH:

Lit Path is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to "lighting the path to recovery" by offering partial scholarships for psychotherapy conducted by certified professionals. Their mission is to make recovery-oriented therapy more financially accessible for individuals seeking support, particularly those struggling with process addictions such as Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (also known as sex or porn addiction).

Their scholarships make it feasible for individuals to receive the necessary therapy from certified professionals, which they might otherwise be unable to afford. By sharing in this conference and supporting our cause, you will help us amplify our message and reach more people in need. This event is not only an opportunity for clinicians to continue their education and to raise awareness but also a critical fundraiser that helps us continue providing these vital scholarships.

Conference Overview: The CSBD Hope for Healing Conference will unite sex addiction and partner trauma therapists, individuals battling sex addiction, their partners, and community members. The conference will feature two distinct tracks:

Clinical Therapist Continuing Education Track: Aimed at equipping mental health professionals with cutting-edge tools and techniques.
Individual Awareness and Learning Track: Designed to provide non-clinical attendees with valuable information and support.

Join us in this dual approach to education and awareness, where we aim to end stigma, offer innovative insights, and foster a supportive community.

Conference Objectives:

Examine Current Research: Discuss the latest findings and advancements in the field of CSBD and Betrayal Trauma, focusing on efficacy, tools, and innovative treatment approaches.
Explore Best Practices: Share protocols and practices for the clinical treatment of CSBD and Betrayal Trauma.
Combat Stigma: Provide non-clinical attendees with education and awareness to break down stigma and shame surrounding sex addiction.

Audience:

Clinical Track: Mental health professionals, researchers, educators, and students.
Sex Addiction Awareness Track: Individuals with CSBD, their partners, families, and members of the community.

Submission Requirements:

Title and Abstract: Provide a title and an abstract of up to 250 words.
Presenter Bio: Include a brief bio of the presenter(s).
Evaluation Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on relevance, clarity, and scientific rigor.
APA-CEU Approval: Presenters will be asked to submit their accepted presentations for APA Continuing Education Unit approval.
